Part of our Association’s mission is to act as a legislative force in the preservation of the public’s right to own, transfer, and enjoy the use of real property. As stewards of our community we need to get involved in order to get the county to move forward on these projects and protect residents and their property values.
Here is a copy of the November 30th (Wednesday) board of supervisors AGENDA and hope that you will be able to attend the meeting. The BOS will be discussing and considering the resolution for funding the Palo Parado and Chula Vista projects.
Members of the BOS seem to be having second thoughts regarding borrowing the necessary funds to finance and move the projects forward. The supervisors have also scheduled a “Study Session” regarding the projects at 2 PM that same day, so it seems that the BOS may not take a final vote to approve the funding until after the study session. The BOS will be meeting at 9:30 AM at the Santa Cruz County Complex, 2150 N Congress Drive, Room #120, Nogales.
We encourage you to attend and provide your input, but if you are unable to attend the BOS meeting or Study Session call or e-mail all the supervisors and encourage them to approve the funding for the projects. They need to know how important these projects are to you and the community.
